Belarus' GDP grows 1.3 pct in first seven months of 2025


MINSK, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Belarus' gross domestic product (GDP) grew 1.3 percent year on year in the first seven months of 2025 at constant prices, the country's statistical committee said Monday in a press release.

According to the committee's first estimate, the GDP in the period amounted to 155.2 billion Belarusian rubles (about 46 billion U.S. dollars) in current prices.

The GDP deflator index for January-July 2025 rose 12.4 percent compared with the same period last year, said the committee.

Belarus' economy grew 4 percent in 2024, slightly higher than predicted.
