China beats Poland to finish fifth at FIVB Women's U21 worlds


SURABAYA, Indonesia, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- China settled for the fifth place at the 2025 FIVB Women's U21 Volleyball World Championship here on Sunday after defeating Poland 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-23,25-17) in the classification match.

After losing a close first set, China responded in the second with improved defense and counterattacks to level the score. The Chinese team rode the momentum to take the third set, before maintaining firm control in the fourth to seal the victory.
