Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery decreased 81 cents, or 1.24 percent, to settle at 64.35 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery dropped 75 cents, or 1.11 percent, to settle at 66.89 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
