Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery gained 79 cents, or 1.14 percent, to settle at 70 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery went up 73 cents, or 1.01 percent, to settle at 73.24 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
