Chinese-funded tech challenge launched to boost African youth skills


NAIROBI, July 28 (Xinhua) -- The 10th edition of the Africa Tech Challenge (ATC), sponsored by Chinese firm AVIC International, officially commenced on Monday in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, reaffirming efforts to equip African youth with practical, market-ready technical skills.

Hosted by Kenya's Ministry of Education, AVIC Innovation Holding Limited, and the China Education Association for International Exchange, the initiative features 142 teams comprising 568 participants from 12 African countries.
