U.S. stocks close higher

NEW YORK, July 23 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Wednesday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 507.85 points, or 1.14 percent, to 45,010.29. The S&P 500 added 49.29 points, or 0.78 percent, to 6,358.91. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased 127.33 points, or 0.61 percent, to 21,020.02.
