India's exports rise by nearly 6 pct in April-June


NEW DELHI, July 15 (Xinhua) -- India's cumulative exports (merchandise and services) during April-June 2025 were estimated at 210.31 billion U.S. dollars, a growth of 5.94 percent year on year, showed the official data released by the federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday.

According to it, the cumulative value of merchandise exports during April-June was 112.17 billion dollars, growing 1.92 percent year on year.

During the said period, the non-petroleum exports valued at 94.77 billion dollars, increasing 5.97 percent as compared to last year.

In a statement, the federal ministry said that major drivers of the merchandise exports growth included electronic goods, drugs and pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, marine products and meat, dairy and poultry products.

Electronic goods exports increased by 46.93 percent from June 2024 to 4.15 billion dollars in June 2025.

Drugs and pharmaceuticals exports increased by 5.95 percent from June 2024 to 2.62 billion dollars in June 2025, while the engineering goods exports increased by 1.35 percent for the same period.
