Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for August delivery added 2.00 U.S. dollars, or 3.06 percent, to settle at 67.45 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery increased by 2.00 dollars, or 2.98 percent, to settle at 69.11 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
