Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for July delivery gained 71 cents, or 1.1 percent, to settle at 65.29 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for August delivery added 56 cents, or 0.86 percent, to settle at 67.04 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
