Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for June delivery dropped 1.53 U.S. dollars, or 2.42 percent, to settle at 61.62 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery decreased 1.56 dollars, or 2.36 percent, to settle at 64.53 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
