Pakistan's central bank forex reserves increase 118 mln USD


ISLAMABAD, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased 118 million U.S. dollars, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.

During the week ending on May 2, total foreign exchange reserves of the SBP stood at about 10.33 billion dollars, the statement said.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came in at around 5.15 billion dollars, the SBP added.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country were recorded at approximately 15.48 billion dollars, the bank said.
