Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for June delivery decreased by 95 cents, or 1.6 percent, to settle at 58.29 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery lost 84 cents, or 1.35 percent, to settle at 61.29 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
