Malta's ITS, Chinese university ink MoU to boost education ties

VALLETTA, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Malta's Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) and Beijing Sport University (BSU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering academic collaboration and cultural exchanges, the institute said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the ITS said the signing ceremony took place at Beijing Sport University in the presence of Maltese Ambassador to China John Busuttil.

The ITS said the MoU sets the framework for joint research initiatives, student and faculty exchanges, and knowledge-sharing programmes that will enhance learning opportunities for students from both institutions.

Busuttil emphasised the importance of international cooperation in education and expressed confidence that this agreement would pave the way for deeper engagement between Malta and China.

Pierre Fenech, ITS CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying: "This is another milestone for ITS as part of its internationalisation strategy."
