Regional leaders urge South Sudanese stakeholders to de-escalate tensions, embrace dialogue


ADDIS ABABA, March 13 (Xinhua) -- East African leaders have called on all parties to the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS) to "immediately" de-escalate tensions and engage in dialogue.

The regional leaders made the call in a communique after the 43rd Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), held virtually on Wednesday to address the serious security situation in South Sudan.
