NEW YORK, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 601.41 points, or 1.39 percent, to 43,840.91. The S&P 500 added 92.93 points, or 1.59 percent, to 5,954.5. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 302.86 points, or 1.63 percent, to 18,847.28.
All of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in green, with financials and consumer discretionary leading the gainers by going up 2.07 percent and 1.80 percent, respectively. Real estate posted the weakest growth, up by 0.81 percent.
