NEW YORK, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Tuesday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 159.95 points, or 0.37 percent, to 43,621.16. The S&P 500 sank 28.00 points, or 0.47 percent, to 5,955.25. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 260.54 points, or 1.35 percent, to 19,026.39.
Six of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in red, with communication services and energy leading the laggards by going down 1.53 percent and 1.47 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, consumer staples and real estate led the gainers by going up 1.69 percent and 1.14 percent, respectively.
