Cape Verde invests 5.4 mln USD in rural projects with focus on women

PRAIA, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- The government of Cape Verde on Friday launched a new phase of the Rural Socio-Economic Opportunities Promotion Program, with an investment of 5.4 million U.S. dollars in agriculture, livestock, and fishing projects, with a special focus on women.

"For this new phase, the investment amounts to 5.4 million U.S. dollars," said program coordinator Jaime Pina on the sidelines of the launch ceremony in Praia.
