U.S. dollar ticks up


NEW YORK, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 0.26 percent to 108.319 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.0307 U.S. dollars from 1.0332 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was down to 1.2367 dollars from 1.2414 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 151.98 Japanese yen, higher than 151.38 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar rose to 0.9114 Swiss francs from 0.9092 Swiss francs, and it added to 1.4308 Canadian dollars from 1.4284 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar declined to 10.9161 Swedish Kronor from 10.9415 Swedish Kronor.
