Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices edged up on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery gained 4 cents, or 0.05 percent, to settle at 74.66 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery went up 21 cents, or 0.27 percent, to settle at 78.5 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
