Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery gained 2.65 U.S. dollars, or 3.58 percent, to settle at 76.57 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery added 2.84 dollars, or 3.69 percent, to settle at 79.76 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
