Belarus sets up 5,325 polling stations for presidential elections


MINSK, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- The formation of polling stations for the presidential elections in Belarus has been completed, the Central Election Commission said on Thursday.

A total of 5,325 polling stations have been set up in Belarus, with 925 in Gomel region, 894 in Minsk region, 861 in Brest region, 701 in the city of Minsk, 683 in Mogilev region, 672 in Vitebsk region, and 589 in Grodno region.

The commission said no later than Dec. 20, documents on the nomination of representatives to precinct commissions must be submitted to local executive and administrative bodies.

The presidential elections will be held on Jan. 26, 2025.
