U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.38 percent to 105.737 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro climbed to 1.0580 U.S. dollars from 1.0557 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.2739 dollars from 1.2690 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 149.61 Japanese yen, lower than 151.50 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar lost to 0.8802 Swiss francs from 0.8830 Swiss francs, and it declined to 1.3994 Canadian dollars from 1.4010 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar decreased to 10.8836 Swedish Kronor from 10.9206 Swedish Kronor.
