LAS VEGAS, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Over 400 Chinese companies are participating in North America's leading dietary supplement expo launched in Las Vegas, U.S. state of Nevada, on Wednesday.

The expo, named SupplySide West and Food ingredients North America, drew over 1,500 exhibitors and over 20,000 participants worldwide representing the dietary supplement, food and beverage, pet health and personal care industries.

The expo offers a platform for global companies and professionals to showcase ingredient innovations and new nutrition science, source ingredients and services, and see what is trending in nutrition products development.

More than 400 Chinese companies are on the show floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, the largest ever presence of Chinese exhibitors at the expo.

Among the Chinese exhibitors are Guilin Layn Natural Ingredients Corporation, Shanghai Unibio Lab Co., Ltd, Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, and Braveiy Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

"What I've seen from the Chinese exhibitors are a huge increase in the number of their products, the variety of products that we see coming through, as well as how those are being presented," Danica Cullins, executive vice president of Health and Nutrition at Informa Markets, organizer of the expo, told Xinhua.

A series of education sessions and workshops are held on the sidelines of the two-day expo with industry experts offering insights on the future of the health and nutrition landscape.
