Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices edged up on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery increased 27 cents, or 0.39 percent, to settle at 70.1 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery gained 34 cents, or 0.46 percent, to settle at 73.9 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
