Angola mounts fight against child labor


LUANDA, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Angola recorded 1,894 cases of child labor in 2023 and will step up efforts to fight child exploitation, the local media Jornal de Angola reported Monday.

The report quoted Gabriel Mbilingue, adviser to the Secretary of State for Labor, as saying that most of these cases occurred in the province of Bie, followed by Lunda Sul, Luanda, and Zaire. Slightly more than half of the victims were girls, with 958 cases, while 936 cases involved boys.
