U.S. stocks close lower


NEW YORK, May 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Thursday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 330.06 points, or 0.86 percent, to 38,111.48. The S&P 500 sank 31.47 points, or 0.60 percent, to 5,235.48. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 183.50 points, or 1.08 percent, to 16,737.08.
