COLOMBO -- Over 500 people have been sent to safe locations due to adverse weather conditions prevailing in Sri Lanka, an official said on Saturday.

MAIMANA, Afghanistan -- New rounds of rainstorms and flooding have claimed 17 lives and injured 11 others in north Afghanistan's Faryab and the neighboring Sari Pul province over the past two days, local officials said Saturday.

SYDNEY -- Two women and one man have died following a shooting in Western Australia (WA) on Friday afternoon.
