Shanxi hands Ningbo 18th straight CBA loss in 3OT

BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The Ningbo Rockets' woeful campaign in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league continued after a 159-155 home loss to the Shanxi Loongs for an 18-game skid on Tuesday.

Ningbo once trailed by 15 points in the first half, but Arslan stepped up in the third quarter to help the home side reverse the game.

After hitting a key shot at the end of regular time, Shanxi's Chang Lin also drew a foul and brought the game to its second overtime, with Shanxi's Isaiah Taylor tipping the scales of the battle in the third overtime with his layups.

Arslan notched a game-high 33 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists for Ningbo. Four players from Shanxi scored at least 20 points, led by Alexey Shved's 29.

Also on Tuesday, the Nanjing Monkey Kings routed the Tianjin Pioneers 127-109, the Zhejiang Lions crushed the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 109-84, the Beijing Ducks defeated the Jilin Northeast Tigers 97-89, and the Liaoning Flying Leopards outplayed the Shenzhen Aviators 109-98.
