At least 13 dead in road accident in Far North region of Cameroon

YAOUNDE, Feb. 29 (Xinhua) -- At least 13 people, including six children, were killed in a two-vehicle road accident on Thursday in Yonkole, a district at the entrance to the ville of Maroua in the Far North region of Cameroon, Xinhua learned from police sources on the spot.

According to initial information gathered by the police, the accident was caused by a burst tire on one of the two vehicles, which was coming from Minawao, also in the Far North region.
