Romania launches program to safeguard imperiled cultural heritage

BUCHAREST, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Romanian President Klaus Iohannis promulgated a law on Tuesday, establishing the National Program for Securing Immovable Cultural Heritage at Risk (PNSP).

Managed by the National Institute of Heritage, the program aims to annually secure 100 historical monuments facing advanced degradation across Romanian counties, including the capital city Bucharest.
