Zambian president vows to make agriculture leading industry

LUSAKA, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Zambian government is putting in place various policies in agriculture as it wants to make the sector the country's number one industry.

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema said the government values the importance of farmers to the country's economic development and is determined to make agriculture the leading industry in the country.
