WFP appeals for more funding to meet humanitarian needs in Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) on Thursday said funding shortfall is hampering its humanitarian response operations in Ethiopia.

"WFP is facing a funding shortfall of 219 million U.S. dollars for the next six months starting September 2023 to March 2024," the WFP said in its latest Ethiopia humanitarian situation report issued Thursday.
