U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Wednesday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 70.13 points, or 0.19 percent, to 36,054.43. The S&P 500 sank 17.84 points, or 0.39 percent, to 4,549.34. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 83.20 points, or 0.58 percent, to 14,146.71.
