U.S. dollar sees sharp increase

NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar soared in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.71 percent to 103.499 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
