ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Dozens of civilians have been killed this month by drone strikes and house-to-house searches in Ethiopia's Amhara region, where authorities have touted security gains since conflict erupted in July, a state-appointed human rights commission said on Monday.
The fighting between state forces and local militiamen, who accuse the federal government of marginalising the region, became Ethiopia's biggest security crisis since the end of a two-year civil war in the neighbouring Tigray region a year ago.
