U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.41 percent to 106.225 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
