U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Friday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 106.58 points, or 0.31 percent, to 33,963.84. The S&P 500 sank 9.94 points, or 0.23 percent, to 4,320.06. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 12.18 points, or 0.09 percent, to 13,211.81.
