HELSINKI, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Finnish government has launched a series of measures to promote racial and gender equality and non-discrimination in Finnish society.

The plan, which parliament will start debating next week, covers the entire education system. It aims to increase the participation of children with an immigrant background in early childhood education and care. Efforts will also be made to combat discrimination among jobseekers in the recruitment process and promote the entry of female immigrants into the labor market.
