U.S. dollar ticks up

NEW YORK, May 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, increased 0.28 percent to 103.4864 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
