SEOUL (Reuters) - The South Korean government has appealed a court order to compensate a Vietnamese victim of atrocities during the Vietnam War when about 300,000 South Korean troops fought alongside U.S. forces, the defence ministry said on Thursday.
The Seoul Central District Court in February ordered the government to provide some 30 million won ($22,730) in compensation and additional funds for delay to Nguyen Thi Thanh, a survivor of attacks on civilians.
