Turkish gov't proposes bill to ease debt burden of citizens


ANKARA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Türkiye's Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati said on Tuesday the Turkish government will introduce a draft bill to ease the debt burden of millions of its citizens.

The bill will exempt the penalties for tax and premium debts, and provide opportunities for citizens and companies to reconstruct their debts, the minister said during a business conference in the western province of Izmir.
