Venezuelan economy grows over 17 pct in first three quarters of 2022


CARACAS, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Venezuelan economy grew 17.73 percent in the first three quarters of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, with positive growth in most sectors, the Central Bank of Venezuela said Friday.

During the first quarter of the year, the gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 17.45 percent at constant prices, while in the second it grew by 23.3 percent and in the third, by 13.22 percent, the bank said in a report.
