Lebanese pound sinks to new historic low

BEIRUT, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese pound on Tuesday sank to a new historic low to the U.S. dollar on the parallel market as the country continues to face an unprecedented financial crisis, the Elnashra news website reported.

The exchange rate of the Lebanese pound declined to 45,000 against the dollar, down from the previous record low of 40,000 on Oct. 14, the report said.
