India's industrial production growth contracts 4 pct in October

NEW DELHI, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- India's factory activity growth, determined by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), contracted by 4 percent in October, the government data showed Monday.

IIP contracted to 129.6 in October from 133.5 in September.
