U.S. dollar ticks up

NEW YORK, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar edged higher in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose 0.03 percent to 104.8100 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
