U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Monday.

The Dow fell 1.4 percent to 33,947.10, the S&P 500 was down 1.79 percent to 3,998.84, and the Nasdaq decreased 1.93 percent to 11,239.94.
