UN says over 900,000 people affected by floods in South Sudan


JUBA, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- More than 900,000 people have been impacted by floods in 29 counties across South Sudan and in the southern part of the Abyei Administrative Area, the United Nations humanitarian agency said Tuesday.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) noted that the worst affected people are in the states of Northern Bahr El Ghazal, Warrap, Unity and Western Equatoria.
