Shooting attack on police station aborted in SE Iran: media

TEHRAN, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Iranian security forces aborted a "terrorist" attack on a police station in the southeastern city of Zahedan on Friday, Tasnim news agency reported.

According to the security council of Sistan and Baluchestan province, the attackers "planned to make the situation in the city unsafe by shooting," but security forces reacted with vigilance and kept the situation under control.

Several police officers were injured during the attack, according to Tasnim.
