U.S. stocks close higher

NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Monday.

The Dow was up 0.45 percent to 33,912.44, the S&P 500 increased 0.40 percent to 4,297.14, and the Nasdaq rose 0.62 percent to 13,128.05.
