NEW YORK, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Tuesday.

The Dow decreased 0.18 percent to 32,774.41, and the S&P 500 fell 0.42 percent to 4,122.47, while the Nasdaq was down 1.19 percent to 12,493.93.
